Endocare Launches CRYOcare System in China

IRVINE, Calif. - Endocare, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENDO), a leading provider of cryosurgical technologies to treat prostate and liver cancer, today announced the commercial launch of its CRYOcare(R) System in China. The launch, which focuses on the CRYOcare liver treatment, follows the establishment of the infrastructure necessary for effective commercialization in China -- including the opening of a training center; sales of systems for use in select surgical centers; and a signed distribution agreement with Hong Kong-based Charlson International Ltd., a leading Chinese surgical products distributor. In addition, early signs of demand in response to recently signed World Trade Organization agreements have led the Company to accelerate efforts to deliver CRYOcare systems for the treatment of liver cancer to this large and growing market.
