Redd out for two weeks with sore knee

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (AFP) - Milwaukee Bucks guard Michael Redd will miss at least the next two weeks of the NBA season after straining a left knee tendon in a 96-85 victory over Detroit, the club announced on Monday. The injury came in Saturday's third quarter on the same knee in which Redd tore two ligaments last January and missed the last 35 games of last season. Redd, who scored nine points in 23 minutes against the Pistons, underwent an MRI exam on Sunday to determine the extend of the injury. Redd, 30, has struggled with health issues since signing a contract in 2005, missing 90 games over four seasons largely due to left knee issues. He has an option to return for 18.3 million dollars next seaon. Australian star Andrew Bogut and Redd each played their first home game Saturday since last January due to injuries that wrecked the last half of last season for the Bucks. Bogut missed the last 31 games with lower back pain.
