A female student shot two other women and herself at a technical college Friday in the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, police said.

Police Sergeant Don Kelly told reporters police "found three gunshot wound victims, all apparently deceased inside the classroom.

"It appears that one of the deceased is the actual shooter, that she shot two other young women inside the classroom, killing both of them before then turning the gun on herself," he said.

Kelly said the women never left that classroom and "no other students outside of that classroom were involved or in any danger."

On Thursday, a gunman opened fire at an Ohio school, wounding his estranged wife in front of her students before fleeing the school and later killing himself during a three-hour standoff, police said.
