Tom Arnold has "Power" for indie thriller
2006-12-19
In a continuing effort to shed the broad comedy side of his persona, Tom Arnold will play a low-rent private investigator in the indie comedic thriller "Remarkable Power." The story centers on an eclectic collection of Los Angeles locals whose lives are intertwined after a late-night talk-show host masterminds an elaborate stunt to save his canceled show, with murder and mayhem ensuing. Also in the cast are Kip Pardue, Nora Zehetner, Dule Hill, Johnny Messner, Bob Sapp, Kevin Nealon and Christopher Titus. Brandon Beckner will direct from his own script. Arnold, who starred last year in Don Roos' edgy ensemble comedy "Happy Endings," returns to theaters early next year in the urban aquatic drama "Pride" alongside Terrence Howard.
