Balloon mom may have admitted hoax to protect kids
DENVER - Friends say the mother of the little boy at the center of the Colorado balloon case is devoted - even subservient - to her inventor husband and her kids, so why would she allegedly tell sheriff's deputies that the whole thing was a hoax?

FAA investigating Colo. balloon flight
FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Federal Aviation Administration has opened its own investigation into the 50-mile flight of the helium balloon that briefly delayed flights at Denver International Airport after a couple reported that their 6-year-old son may have been on board, an official said Tuesday.
