CHICAGO - American League home run leader Carlos Quentin has a broken right wrist stemming from his own temper, and the Chicago White Sox left fielder will have surgery Monday that could sideline him for the rest of the season.

Longoria and Hart elected All-Stars in online vote
NEW YORK - Evan Longoria had big plans for next week's All-Star break -- a trip to Las Vegas with some friends. Tampa Bay's rookie third baseman ended up with an even better trip to New York for the last All-Star game at Yankee Stadium. Longoria and Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Corey Hart were elected All-Stars by fans in Internet balloting that ended Thursday.

Quentin hits homer to give White Sox win
CHICAGO - Carlos Quentin hit a tiebreaking homer leading off the bottom of the seventh Saturday, closer Bobby Jenks escaped a ninth-inning jam and the White Sox made it two straight over the Cubs with a 6-5 victory.

Edmonds hits 2 HRs in 1 inning as Cubs beat ChiSox
CHICAGO - The Cubs own the best record in the majors and it sure looks as if they're the top team in their own town, too. Jim Edmonds homered twice, Mike Fontenot went deep and Aramis Ramirez added a three-run shot, all during a nine-run fourth inning Saturday that helped the Cubs beat the White Sox 11-7 to win for the second straight day in the meeting of first-place teams.
